INTRODUCED to fluoride as a very young child, Mr. Atlas boasted a complete set of uppers and lowers by the age of four. When he was seven, his adult dentition made its first appearance in Boston to an enthusiastic response. A fall on the ice of Hammond Pond two years later resulted in the distinctive chip; not long after, a series of extractions followed in preparation for six years of rigorous orthodontia. Subsequent seasons saw a steady accumulation of prosthetic amalgam, culminating in his first root canal while he was still in his thirties. His most recent procedures have featured composite resins.

Principal dentists include Abraham Nizel, David Stamm, and Martin Wohl. He has four crowns.
